Compared to investing individually in bonds or shares, investing through an investment fund offers several advantages:

    Lower risk through diversification

An Investment Fund can invest in hundreds—or even thousands—of different securities at once, spreading and reducing the overall risk.

    Professional management

There’s no need to monitor the performance of each bond or stock yourself. The fund is managed by experienced investment professionals who take care of that for you.

    Convenience

You can buy fund units online through the Raiffeisen ON app and even set up automatic investments through investment plans.

    Liquidity at any time

You can withdraw your investment at any time, and the money will be transferred to your account within 7 days.

    Transparency

Track the performance of your investment anytime, online.

    What is an investment fund?

How many types of investment funds are there?

Funds can be classified based on their financial instruments: bond funds, equity funds, or mixed funds (which invest in both bonds and shares).

How do I choose the right fund for me?

Each fund has a recommended investment period and risk level, depending on its structure.

Investors with a higher risk tolerance usually prefer equity funds, while those with a lower risk tolerance may prefer bond or money market funds.

How can I become an investor in a fund?

You can join an investment fund by signing a unit purchase order at any Raiffeisen Bank Albania branch. You can also increase your investment either at the branch or online through Raiffeisen ON.

What is the minimum investment amount?

The minimum investment starts from ALL 5,000 as a one-time amount or from ALL 1,000 for regular investment plans, depending on the fund. Please check each fund’s specific terms under the Investment Funds section.

What determines the safety of my money invested in investment funds?

Investment funds are regulated by the Albanian Financial Supervisory Authority (AMF). Each fund also has a custodian—an independent financial institution licensed by the AMF—responsible for safeguarding and verifying the fund’s assets.

Can a fund offer a fixed, pre-determined rate of return?

The return from an investment fund depends on market conditions, the fund’s characteristics, and its investment strategy. An investment fund cannot guarantee a fixed or pre-determined rate of return.

Is there a fixed term for investing?

No, investing in a fund has no fixed term. The investor can increase or decrease their investment at any time.

Is the fund insured by the Albanian Deposit Insurance Agency (ADIA)?

Investments in funds are not covered by the Albanian Deposit Insurance Agency. This follows international standards applied to investment funds worldwide.
